Summer in the North Holland for me involves "long" bike rides and going to tea gardens (called 'Thee tuin' in Dutch). These words meant something completely different to me growing up. They bring up memories of being at a hill station, taking in breathtaking views of huge estates or plantations of tea across the slopes. It's completely different from the 'tea gardens' of North Holland, but both kinds are a source of great joy and comfort! So much so that I had to paint it!😊

I used a photo that my brother clicked at Ooty (in India) recently to create this painting.
